Ac•Rock
“The
hometown act with a nationwide following”
Ac•Rock (which stands for a cappella rock ‘n
roll) is a group on the move, constantly changing and
evolving to create
a freshness and
spontaneity that make each of their live performances uniquely
one-of-akind. Performing everyone’s favorites from the
50’s through the 90’s, this vocal band sings
both the doo-wop standards audiences expect (like
Duke of Earl, Get A Job, Book of Love, and Under The Boardwalk)
and more recent rock hits people might not expect (like Suite:
Judy Blue Eyes and Bohemian Rhapsody). Their shows are an
engaging mix of tightly-crafted music and freewheeling humor
that pleases
audiences of all ages. Now in their twelfth year, Ac•Rock
has sung for the Cubs, the White Soxand the Bulls. They’ve
appeared WGN Morning News, Wild Chicago and many radio stations.
They’ve opened for Wayne Brady and Bernie Mac. Ac•Rock
is Paul Iams (tenor), JD Mathein (tenor), Chris Brown (baritone)
and Mark MacLean (bass), who all love singing for corporate
events,
tradeshows, private parties, theatres, clubs, festivals,
schools, and libraries all over the country.Ac•Rock has recorded
four CD’s (UR What UR, Acappellago, Guaranteed To Satisfy
and Out Of The Box) all of which are available at The Official
Ac•Rock Website: www.acrock.com.
[Note about the name, Ac•Rock. It rhymes. Pronounce it:
AHK’ rock.
In print, it is written as follows: Capital A, small C, bullet,
Capital R,
small o-c-k. We’re not trying to get pedantic with
you, but we continue
to have the name “mis-capitalized”. People think
it’s A.C. Rock or AC
Rock. It’s not. It’s Ac (as in a cappella) Rock,
separated by the bullet
(which can be accessed by typing Option-8 on a Macintosh.
Thanks].
